FIVE MORE YEARS

ELDERLY? NO WAY!

 

Who needs a special elderly day,

Don’t treat us special, we’re here to stay.

We haven’t lasted all these years

Not to realize our living endures

And whatever new that we may try

The years just keep rolling on by.

 

We visit the doctor we hope is wise

Eat a good breakfast, even exercise.

And years just keep on adding their score

No matter how many, we wish for more.

 

Don’t call us elderly, it now appears

We’re not elderly until 5 more years,

And then we’ll add another five

We’re simply enjoying being alive.
